well, lets see....
Runescape was my first one.
Star Wars the old republic is good, though the download takes forever.
AQW, which I think sucks.
World of Warcraft - which you gotta buy
Diablo II or III - which you gotta buy
Theres also a pokemon MMO if youre into that.
I hear theres one called Fiesta thats alright.

Well there are some good games I knew (aside from the one already on Dart's list:
1. Rift- really similar system to WoW in many ways, but it's free to play
2. Age of Wushu- If you are into those chinese martial art kinda game, good graphics
3. Wartune- Haven't played it myself but ppl say its good
4. Akaneiro Demonhunters- Japanese style demon slayer, quite nice
5. Kingsroad- Diablo style game but free to play
6. Scarlet Blade- Well the graphics aren't too bad, but it's just...
7. Dragonknights online- Nice graphics and fantasy setting,
8. The Lost Titans- Which I didn't really like but it may suit other people's taste
9. Dota 2- real famous in my country, although I don't play it
10. Battle of the Immortals- overall is good
11. Lineage II
12. Aion
13. Vindictus
14. Mount and Blade
15. Cabal online
16. Dragonnest
17. Ragnarok

Aside from these there are also some interesting games that are still in beta, like City of Steam, Elder scrolls online, and Transformers Universe (not an rpg though). Some websites that could help are:
